The Signature Process

<strong>DISCOVER</strong>

We begin by conducting a thorough analysis of your business to guide the project. We uncover your purpose, values, ideal customer, unique selling points, and brand positioning. This information is then distilled into a strategy document outlining the design direction for your branding or website, including a mood board, imagery, colour inspiration, and a website flow and structure.

<strong>CREATE</strong>

For branding projects, we explore logo concepts, typography, and colour pairings that align with the brand strategy document. We then present a fully developed design concept, showcasing how it can be applied across all touchpoints. For web design projects, we focus on creating an optimal user experience by planning the site structure and developing a core design concept.

With your feedback, we then proceed to design any additional brand materials and develop webpages, incorporating all necessary content according to the package.

<strong>LAUNCH</strong>

For branding projects, we finalise all files, refine collateral, and ensure custom design elements, fonts and colour palettes are ready for use. we also create a brand guidelines document outlining proper use of logo, typography, and colour palette across different platforms. For web design projects, we make final tweaks, test functionality, and provide bite-sized tutorial videos on using the site's backend.

A total of five days will be devoted solely to you and your website project. Based on your needs, we can complete up to a 5-page WordPress website, a sales page for an online course or product, or a simplified Shopify site with only a few products.

intensives
work?

The Intensives Process

<strong>BRAND INTENSIVES</strong>

For Brand Intensives, a prep call is scheduled prior to the design day to go over the outline of the day, present mood boards and work out your priorities. On the design day, you will receive a kickoff email first thing in the morning and then multiple check-in emails throughout the day with accompanying Zoom calls to review and make revisions in real time. By the end of the night, all final files will be delivered to you, and ready for use the next day!

<strong>WEBSITE INTENSIVES</strong>

The process will differ from project to project depending on the deliverables and scope however a typical website-intensive project will go for five days.

The first day will begin with an email from us indicating the start of the design phase. During this day, our focus will be on designing the website pages and we will have several zoom calls to review and make revisions. The second day will be dedicated to the development of the site, including the setup and creation of all five pages. On day three, we will have a follow-up zoom call to review the progress and make any necessary changes. Day four will be dedicated to finalizing all five pages, optimizing for mobile responsiveness and making final revisions. On the final day, we will complete any remaining revisions, provide training on the back-end of the website, and if ready, assist with migrating the website to the live hosting and domain for launch.

This ‘one concept’ approach’ is a very intentional decision, informed by years of experience working with businesses like yours. Rather than overwhelming you with dozens of sketches, we choose the strongest concept and fully flesh it out, showing you real-time examples of how it can be applied across multiple touchpoints. This also allows us to dive deeper into the rationale behind my design choices, so you walk away with the insider understanding of what makes a brand or website work and why.

Great question! If you’re choosing a designer to bring your brand to life, it’s so important that you vibe with their visual style. While we are always up for experimenting with fonts, colour and bespoke graphic elements, we lean towards design that is minimalistic and modern. We always aim for a refined, sophisticated style that elevates simple illustration, striking typography and plenty of white balance on the page.

A settled deposit is required before we can officially kick off your project. This is typically 25% – 50% of the total fee, depending on the specifications. From there, payments will be broken down into milestone instalments, which we’ll discuss right at the outset of your project.

These things happen! We simply ask that you let us know as soon as possible. Just be aware that the initial deposit is non-refundable because this is what enables us to lock your project into our calendar and prioritise it accordingly. We’ll invoice for any work carried out after we received your approval to proceed and we can part ways with no hard feelings at all!
